Heaven's Light --- A Poem

Heaven’s Light

By: Jennifer Thorn

In Darkness clutches I was once bound,

Life depleted, and soul full of sorrow.

Pain overwhelming as lies bury the truth.

Until Heaven’s light pierced straight through.

In heaven’s light I am redeemed,

I am set free, rising above the enemy,

An overcomer through Jesus Christ

Who took my sin and gave me life.

No more Burden, no more shame

In heaven’s light I am remade.

Just peace and joy that fill my soul

As I praise my King for His greatest gift

Freedom bought there on the cross

His blood poured out for all of us.

Redemption bought by a life so pure

It is for Him I will endure.

In heaven’s light I found my life

When gave it up to serve Jesus Christ.

Emmanuel, God with us has come at last,

Unbinding captives from their past.

A defeated enemy we now face,

The prince of lies tries to steal our grace.

But in heaven’s light we shall endure

For a crown of glory is our fate.
